Our puppy socialisation parties have been very successfully run by Rhian Jones our
veterinary nurse over the last six months. Feedback from attendees has been phenomenal
with many people asking to continue training and socialisation in some way with
us.
As a result, both Rhian and Garth have embarked on a dog training course through
the Academy of Dog Training and Behaviour with a view to starting training classes
in February 2007. Initially these classes will cater for young dogs from 5 to 12
months and previously untrained adult dogs in separate groups. There will be no
more than 6 dogs and owners per instructor.
Classes will last for approximately 45 minutes with a chance to speak individually
to the instructors afterwards if required. The courses will take place weekly over
6 weeks.
Included in the cost will be:
- a training manual with all relevant information for you to refer to during those
all-important homework sessions
- a bag of coachies treats and a pouch to carry them in during training
- telephone advice available between classes if required
Other training aids such as leads, collars, clickers etc. will be available to trial
and purchase before and after classes.
Your dog’s vaccination record will be checked for up to date annual and kennel cough
vaccines to ensure the protection of your own dog and others.
For updates including start dates for the courses please look at the “News” section.
