Veterinary Surgeon

Garth Tozer Hi, I am Garth Tozer, the principal veterinarian and centre owner. I qualified as a veterinarian in South Africa in 1986 and worked - including running my own successful practice – until 1999. As a result of increasing violent crime I then moved with my young family to Telford, UK. I worked as a veterinarian running a branch for a large veterinary group in Telford and after 5 years looking after peoples’ pets in the Muxton/Donnington/Priorslee and Wellington areas, I decided that I would like to offer my own client-orientated veterinary service. 2 years of planning, searching for suitable premises and building have resulted in what I consider to be a unique veterinary centre with client and pet needs always the primary consideration.

My wife - Erica, 3 children - Gavin , Michelle and Lauren, 2 cats – Bob and Jerry and dog – Lisa ensure that I am not bored after work hours as well!

Veterinary Nurse

Rhian Jones Hi, I am Rhian Jones, the veterinary nurse. I qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2005 while working at a practice in South Wales. During my training I also completed a HND in Veterinary Nursing Science at Hartpury College in Gloucester. Once I had qualified, I moved to this area and was offered a job to work along side Garth. This was a great opportunity as the practice is new, modern and spacious and all decisions made are always in the best interests of the patients. In my opinion the patients always come first and should be put at ease when they come to see the vet, so we try and make the experience as stress free and as pleasant as possible. During my time here I have specialised in dentistry and am currently training in nutrition and microchipping.

After work I am kept busy by 2 cats- Ollie and Oscar, 3 dogs- Joe, Bella and Ena, 3 horses- Magic, Danny and Mille and whatever other animals that needs TLC.

Receptionist / Nurse

Abby Brown Hi, I am Abby Brown and help out in the evenings and Saturday mornings. I cover reception duties and help out with any procedures that need to be done immediately. I have worked with dogs for many years having been a kennel assistant at the Dogs Trust at Roden and worked with Garth at other veterinary practices in Telford. The welfare of the animal will always come first in my opinion and any advice to owners will always be given with this in mind.

I have a menagerie at home! 7 cats, 1 dog, 2 rabbits, 3 guinea pigs and a tortoise. I won’t list all their names, but they certainly keep me busy!
