Treatment for your pet

Regardless of the problem, we will always give you the best possible advice for your pet. We will give you options for treatment if they are available and never try to push you into treatment that is not in the best interests of your beloved pet. Due to the advanced treatments available today, costs can escalate and it is worth considering having pet insurance to cover ongoing and expensive procedures - it can make your decision making a lot easier. Remember, once a condition is diagnosed, it is unlikely to be covered by insurance so get your pet covered as a puppy before problems occur.

On the very few occasions when it comes to a point where there is no further treatment available to help your pet, we will always advise you accordingly and help you to make the difficult decision to put your pet to sleep peacefully. We understand what a difficult time this is having been through it with our own pets and are always here to help you through it.

Here is a summary of our treatments

Laboratory diagnostics

  • Blood analyses for diabetes, kidney and other diseases
  • Fungal and bacterial infection tests
  • Microscopic examination for various parasites in blood, faeces or on the skin
  • Tests for the feline leukaemia virus (FeLV) and feline AIDS (FIV)
  • Urine status and sediment examination
  • Allergy testing
  • Testing lumps to check for possible malignancy (cancer).

Outpatient treatment and advice

  • General examinations and treatment of dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, other small rodents and ferrets

Dental care and treatments

Laser Therapy

  • We have had tremendous results with treating various inflammatory conditions- particularly arthritis and musculo-skeletal disorders with this fantastic new non inasive treatment modality. We have been using it for over a year now and although initially slightly sceptical, our vet is now entirely convinced of the health benefits of this machine.

  • Soft tissue surgery, from tumour removal to stomach rotation correction and splenectomy
